The People

It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you the women who have brought their wisdom and love to Loonsong in and continue to grace this place annually. I cannot recommend their offerings highly enough.

Kathi Ryan

Being attentive to one’s own well-being was a concept I learned early in my life when my mother became conscious of the relationship with food and the body’s health. I began to grow my own organic food when I was 19 and have never been without the gift of abundant health.

In 1995, Kathi completed training in Massage Therapy and has since studied energy modalities, including Nia, a Body, Mind, Spirit fitness and lifestyle practice  which addresses the whole being. I have been teaching Nia for 10 years in New Glasgow, Antigonish and now Guysborough County and know that bringing the Joy of movement to people is the most valuable work that I do.

Kathi has worked in several co-operatives with women and has experienced first-hand the healing power of women coming together with love and intention. It has always been a dream to provide a place and the support for women, all people, who choose to step onto the path of caring for self, others and community. Loonsong represents this long held desire with the mandate to provide programming and sacred space for groups or individuals that supports and empowers people on their personal  journey of discovery.
